  1. Read all of Exodus 33 & 34. What questions do you have about this text? What does this show you about God’s relationships with his people? What differences do you see in how God related to Israel vs how he relates to his church now? What similarities?

  2. What thoughts first come to mind when you consider the doctrine of the glory of God? Be specific. Write them down. Are they more positive or negative?

  3. Pastor Sam said that the current negative views of Christianity in our culture should alarm us primarily because of how they distract from the glory of Christ. Interact with this idea. Do you agree? Why or why not? What other considerations do you suppose are important? Do they relate to the glory of God at all?

  4. Human beings are naturally drawn to glory. Give examples of how you see this in your own life? Pastor Sam also said that because of sin, we tend toward being glory thieves. How have you seen this in your own life? Be as specific as possible.

  5. Our desire for glory and sin’s separation from God’s glory creates a problem for humanity. We cannot have what we most need. Describe, in your own words, how Jesus speaks into this issue. How does this effect the way you consider the glory of God?

  6. What was God telling you this week? How about over this whole series? What have you done about it?
