Immanuel Fellowship Church started in October 2021 when Red Tree Church and West County Bible Church joined together to plant a new church in West St. Louis County.
West County Bible Church was planted in the fall of 1988 by Clayton Community Church. WCBC was a true family of faith. Over its 33 years of ministry, founding pastor Jimmie Montaigne led this small group of friends to be a vibrant ministry within the Ellisville community. Whether it was music festivals with refugees, short term mission trips to Colombia, or big pots of chili at the local fall Festival, WCBC was a church that showed the love and connection that could be found in Jesus.
Red Tree had started in early 2008 as twelve people gathered in a living room to pray, study God’s Word, and celebrate the gospel together. By 2009 a small group of believers began meeting in a music bar with the idea that a church with a commitment to the centrality of Jesus, radical community, and biblical mission could have a kingdom impact on West County in St. Louis. Over its 13 years of ministry Red Tree was the sort of church where lives were genuinely changed by the gospel in a way that reflects God’s glory to the world.
Immanuel Fellowship stands proudly in the legacy of both of these church families. We are a people, not a place.
And we are more committed than ever on making disciples who see their communities as opportunities to reflect God’s glory and share the person & work of Jesus. It is our great hope that God will use this church family to saturate our community with the gospel as He brings glory to His name.
As He pours into us, He pours out of us.
