Read Acts 20:1-16. What words, phrases, or ideas stick out to you? Why do you suppose that is?
Our text showed the beautiful diversity of the gathered church. How do you experience diversity in the body of Christ here at Immanuel? In your GC?
Pastor Sam said that the community of Christ requires a sacrificial attitude toward time. Interact with this idea. How do you practically sacrifice time for the sake of the kingdom? How do you balance this with the other good requirements on your time?
Pastor Sam mentioned not falling into either “ditch” regarding biblical community. One side being a propensity toward isolation and one side being a propensity for idolizing relationships and community. Which of those two do you more naturally lean toward? What can you do to help yourself battle this temptation and walk down the ‘middle road’?
What does participation in the family of Christ look like practically for you? Whats one thing you can do this week to be more connected to the family of God?
