Discussion Questions for 05/01/22
Prayerfully read Galatians 2:11-21 before answering the below questions. What ideas stick out to you in this text?
In our text the primary tension the church is experiencing is with some members of the church’s passion for holiness in living. Yet this passion for holiness actually creates division and destruction within the church. How can this be? What do you suppose can cause this sort of conflict to happen within the church? Do you see anything similar within the church today?
Paul says that Peter has become out of step with the gospel. Interact with this idea? Can you relate to Peter’s failing here at all? Write out some of the ways that you see this as a gospel issue.
Retell the gospel story in your own words. What points do you include? How easy does this story flow out of you?
How does the gospel story strike you today? Do you find yourself tender to this story? How does it make you feel?
Think of our church family. Where do you see intentional centrality of the gospel in our church family? Do we do anything that helps you stay fluent in the gospel?
What was God telling you this week? What have you done about it?
