Read all of Romans 12 In light of Sunday’s sermon, what are you drawn to in this section of scripture? What questions do you have?
Pastor Sam said that Christians are often prone to avoid feeling the hurt of broken relationship. Have you experienced this first hand? What does it look like practically to be with brothers and sisters in both their rejoicing and their mourning?
The text says that “As far as it depends on you” you are to live at peace. What does it look like practically to take responsibility for your part of a conflict or broken relationship? How do you do this in your own conflicts?
Part of moving from vengeance to forgiveness is determining what you actually want out of a relationship. Do you have any broken relationships right now? What do you want out of them? Be as specific as possible. How might you move toward that outcome?
Who is God calling you to make peace with right now? Be specific. Right down names. What is your next step toward making peace?
What was God telling you this week? What have you done about it?
