Read all of Matthew 5:21-48. Consider all of Jesus’ “You have heard it said” teachings. Why do you suppose these are the OT laws Jesus chose to address? Do you see any common themes?
Jesus says that anger expressed toward a brother or sister has a moral equivalence with murder. How does this sit with you? Do you believe this? Why or why not?
Considering texts like Colossians 3:8 and Ephesians 4:32, how can anger have a holy expression? What scriptures come to mind? List them out.
Paul David Tripp says that righteous anger is only fueled by our fear of God. Interact with this statement. Do you agree? What do you suppose is meant by this?
Pastor Sam mentioned that anger can manifest externally and internally. Which are you more prone to? Who is currently in your ‘ledger’? What would it take for you to release them?
