Read Genesis 15:1-19. What Ideas stick out to you? What sorts of ideas have you historically associated with this text?
Consider God’s decision to make a covenant with Abram. Is this meaningful? Why do you suppose God might choose to enter into this kind of obligation if he is trustworthy with his word?
What scriptures come to mind when you consider the promises of God? Read and list as many as you can. (Feel free to use Google to help)
Are there any areas of your life where you feel that God is holding back or delaying in his care for you? How does the fulfilled promise of Jesus’ accomplished work and the pending promise of his return speak into that present circumstance?
What might look different in your life right now if you had faith in the promises of God to you?
What was God telling you this week? What have you done about it?
